ELECTREX AIMS TO REDUCE ITS CO2 EMISSIONS BY 29.3 TONS/YEAR
ELECTREX – João R. Matos SA, welding machines manufacturer of Aveiro, Portugal, took advantage of a new sandwich tile roof placement and installed a photovoltaic plant with 220 solar panels and with a total peak power of 66.6 KW. With this investment, which totaled around 200,000 euros, the company has improved its ecological footprint by reducing CO2 emissions by 29 tons/year, made the installations thermally more comfortable for its employees and took advantage of natural light more efficiently. With an amortization period of about 4 and a half years, this system is mainly intended intended for self-consumption and injection of the surpluses in the electric network.
